Joe began his professional career as a construction manager and field engineer for well known Pittsburgh Construction firms Poling and Bacon Construction Company and Mellon Stuart & Dick Corporation.  Major accomplishments within those firms include Ross Park Mall, Pittsburgh’s International Airport, Midfield Terminal, and the MSA Headquarters at RIDC Park.

In 1990, Joe transitioned to consulting engineering at local engineering consulting firms.   Shortly thereafter, he acquired his license as a Professional Engineer.  In 1997, Joe founded Gray Engineering Corporation, later creating Gray Warnick Engineering Company. In 2005 he established Gray Consulting, a design and engineering firm specializing in building, renovations, development, and municipal projects.

With decades of experience in the engineering and construction industry, and as the Principal of Arris Construction, Joe leads the project management team ensuring day to day quality control over all aspects of a project.  As a hands-on leader, Joe also manages all phases of construction and serves as a project reviewer for the company’s major construction projects.
